Caregiver-attended, always.

Playdates helps families discover and coordinate events. It is not childcare. A caregiver must remain present and responsible for every child they bring. Captains do not accept custody, transport children, provide medical services, or supervise another family’s child.

Official and third-party events

Facilitated Playdates and approved Community Meetups use platform-managed logistics. Third-party listings may require a separate organizer registration; Playdates’ social RSVP does not replace it. Every listing states what Playdates includes and any family cost known to us.

Community conduct

Do not collect off-platform fees for official events, export attendee data, falsify attendance, recruit beyond capacity, harass another family, or use circle and family-symbol features as child-security systems. Ordinary friendships and voluntary off-platform contact are allowed.

Safety and moderation

Use the confidential safety path for incidents. Reviews must address event or Captain behaviour and may not rate a child, appearance, accent or parenting. Playdates may moderate content, restrict future assignments or access, preserve audit records, and provide an appeal path.

Maps

Google Maps features and content are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and Google Privacy Policy.

Founder action before launch: replace these pilot terms with Ontario counsel-approved consumer terms, limitation language, cancellation/refund terms, venue rules, governing law, company identity and contact details.
